Having reached the other side of Hogwarts lake, he stops to stare back across the water. After everything Hogwarts has meant to him and still means to him, no matter how hard he tries not to feel too grateful for having been accepted, even asked to return, the sound of the name, if only in his mind, always resurrects the image of the castle against the starry sky just like this – just how he first saw it.
He’d stumbled on the steep path and almost keeled over, grabbed the shoulder of the boy next to him, the one who’d kept close ever since they’d ended up sharing a train compartment with older, haughty girls. The awkward one with healthy round cheeks and with both wary and eager look in his pale blue eyes…
No, he can’t see that face. It’s lost in the darkness of this shore.

No, I didn’t forget it was Sunday yesterday. I was just caught up in a long video meeting with friends. Some of us normally meet twice a year, and some of us twice in twenty years, but it seems now we have to do this every week. Tomorrow (Tuesday) back to work place! Unlike some of you, I wish I could be more distanced, at least physically. Take care and stay connected.

Still, this situation emphasises the difference between… well, essential workers and those who typically have a higher education. Even at my work place, with my education and position, I’m lucky to be less exposed than other members of my team, because I need to write documents and run remote preschool and can stay somehow distanced also from the few children who are not at home.
And today these lovely team mates had a surprise welcome-back gift for me – something I’ll be happy to use even when we’re back to normal. Because my multi-chemical sensitivity is getting worse, I seldom like to stay on tea breaks where there are other co-workers, who use perfumed products even if not actual perfumes. Now I’ve got an electric kettle of my own in my tiny “office room”!
