I still haven’t really learnt to use Tumblr, but over there I’ve come across these two fests:

Yay, more fests for the summer. I found out about the HP Ace Fest and the Wolfstar Hurt Fest through daily_snitch, which has a section that keeps track of which HP fests are currently running and where, including the ones on tumblr. I'm not on tumblr, so subscribing to daily_snitch really helps.

Thank you! I used to watch Daily Snitch on Livejournal, but I hadn’t found it on DW. Now subscribed! (I opened an account on Tumblr only because HP Femslash Minifest mods said that I needed to post my (April/May) contribution – which was an asexuality fic I hoped someone would notice – on my own Tumblr, besides AO3, for them to promote it.)

Will you participate in any ot these three?

I might write something for the Harry Birthday celebration, but I haven't decided what to write yet. (Lots of things to do, stories to write...)

I hope you will! Myself I’m happy that the celebration is for all genres, after I first saw Lightofdaye and Torino talk about smut – and now I see in the community that smut especially is encouraged (which is something I’ve had to get used to).

I’ve never been particularly interested in having Harry as a major character in my fic, because I’ve felt we know him too well – and from his own perspective – on the basis of canon. Still, years ago I wrote several chapters (in my post-OotP novel) in which he’s the second most important character, and showed a lot of his interaction with Remus and of development in their (not slashy) relationship. I first thought of revising or rewriting something from those scenes, but it says the contributions must be new and specifically for this celebration. We’ll see… Yes, there are always a lot of stories to write!
